About South End Village Academy

A community that refused to give up.

Our Story

South End Village Academy was born out of necessity. Our school is in financial distress. Parents have come together to form a new nonprofit, South End Village Academy, to save the school. The school our children loved, the classrooms they knew, the teachers who knew them by name, was at risk of disappearing.

But this community doesn't give up easily.

Within days, a group of parents came together and formed South End Village Academy as a registered nonprofit. We have a board of volunteer parents, each with at least one child who attends the school.

Our goal is simple: keep the school running, keep the teachers teaching, and give our children the stability they deserve. Every dollar raised goes directly to teacher salaries, rent, utilities, and classroom supplies.

Who We Serve

Our school serves families from every background. Over one third receive financial aid. Every kind of family belongs here, and every child learns alongside each other. The South End campus was specifically created to be diverse, inclusive, and affordable.

When the financial crisis hit, it didn't just threaten a school. It threatened the only option many of these families have. For scholarship families, there is no Plan B.

Our Mission

To ensure continuity of education for the children of the South End by maintaining and improving the school their families built together.

Why We Need Your Help

SEVA needs to raise $1.5 million to keep the school running through the school year and beyond. As of March 27, 2026, over $0K has been pledged by our community toward our current campaign goal. We need your help to close the gap.

Every donation, every conversation helps.
